Twenty-four families at Owatonna, Minnesota founded this group in 1984 as the Midwest Sad Iron Collectors Club. It was renamed PITCA in 2008.

PITCA members hail from the United States and around the world. Some participate exclusively online while others enjoy Internet networking plus traveling to PITCA-sponsored regional meetings, auctions, and the Annual Convention held in the Midwest.

There are many Benefits of a PITCA membership! Whether you're a novice, intermediate or expert collector, as a PITCA member you can explore the many aspects of collecting, cleaning, displaying, researching and promoting irons, trivets, and other laundry collectibles.

PITCA membership includes a subscription to the Pressing News Journal, published quarterly in September, December, March & June. Our members can view present and past issues on this website and/or receive a printed copy by mail.
